Lost Cat Magnet presents The Salamander Trance

A three song EP featuring tracks from the forthcoming album My Exotic Self, a collaboration with Brazilian Space Program keyboardist Charles Russell.

A rare mix of live playing distilled from a distance. LCM and Russell exchanged tracks and versions over a six month period. Always adding LIVE elements via keyboards, synth looping and beats. All honed in the studio by Tiago da Silva, creating a wildly kinetic flurry of groove art jazz.

The three tracks, Pi Anticipation (also featuring da Silva on guitar), Salamander Trance and Different Stars challenge the listener to rethink the term jazz. Free, intense and deeply groovy… the world of Lost Cat Magnet’s My Exotic Self!
